Should you always hold onto your stock wheels?

I'm wondering if most people who get aftermarket wheels hold onto their stock wheels as well (excluding those who use them for winter wheels). I'm considering selling my stock 21s, but I wasn't sure if I'd end up regretting not still having them down the road if/when I trade-in or sell the car. If it matters, I most likely will have this car for 6+ years given we average about 5k miles a year.

Shameless plug: It would really solve this dilemma for me if someone wanted to buy my Morrs that I'm selling for 50% of what I paid just last summer!

I've never held onto stocks until the SQ as I like them for an interim between aftermarket wheel sets. If it was not a lease, I would ditch them, and keep the VFF for the interim set.

I kept my stock wheels as well as my stock springs so if or when I decide to get something new I can put the car back to stock.

You should always keep the stock wheels. Remember if you live in New England a stock wheel is better in the snow. I don't know if you will burn out an aftermarket wheel in the snow. Unless you have money to burn. If this is true and you have money to burn can you get me a set of wheels and rims Dub S106

To each his own, but I've always kept the stockers on all my cars. When selling the car I usually give the buyer the option of stock, aftermarket, or both. It's a selling point for most guys I've come across. Worst case you sell em online after selling the car.

But...it's just what I've done. I do think from a dollar standpoint the take-offs are worth more if you sell them right away upfront while they're still current.

I was really only considering selling them because they seem easier to sell than aftermarket wheels. I've got two sets of wheels now, but Mops has something lined up for me that I really want, and I can't keep three sets of wheels (and still stay married lol). You're probably right though that having the stock wheels is going to be best whenever I move on from this car.

Someone please buy my Morrs! I'm open to all offers lol.
