Been on here a long time with all cars (A3, A4 USP 1.8T, A4 USP 3.0, A4 USP Avant 1.8T, S4 Sedan V8, S4 Convertible, A5, A6, A6 4.2, A7 TDI) and finally made the move to an SUV. Wanted to get a Q5 TDI S-line, but this is the next best thing.

    2016 SQ5
    Daytona w/HGB package
    Diamond Stitch
    Layered Aluminum Inlays
    Red Calipers
    21" Stockers

    Mods done:

35% tint on fronts and 20% the rest of the way because of purple OEM windows
Weathertech Digital Mats - debadged and installed
    KW HAS
RS3 flat bottom steering wheel with alcanatara and red stitch

    Mods still to come:

Slotted and dimpled rotors - waiting for front rotors to be mass produced
Ceramic pads - think I found a set a complete set
21" - trying to convert my 20" HRE 840R's to 21" step lip
    Black tips for stock exhaust
265/35/22 tires - little more meat
20" - need OEM winter setup

Congrats @EYE4SPEED! We have similar tastes. I have the exact same stock vehicle minus the diamond stitching.

    Thanks all!

For those that tinted the fronts, what percentage and brand matches the rears the best?

If you wanted the whole vehicle darker, what mix of tint did you do for a consistent look?

    Anybody find rear ceramic pads?

Going to try these wheels on it, 20x10, 32 offset. I ordered the wrong size tires (275/45/20), but maybe they'll fit. Considering selling these/trading them for some larger 21" or 22" wheels with more concavity.

Can anybody Photoshop these on the SQ?

I went 35% on the front and it's about as close as you'll get to the factory privacy glass.

I got 20% all around on all windows. My back windows tested 8% per CHP, which means the stock is ~40% (.08/.2=.4). 35-40% is pretty close to the stock tint.

i went 30% pinnacle in the front... it is a damn close match. only thing is of course the color isn't perfectly identical. but i'm anal retentive about these things, 99% of the time you can't tell but if the distance and lighting is right then I can't unsee it

Great platform to start with! Also for exhaust, keep an eye on the vendors here who carry our products. They often run promotions which can get you a smokin deal on a new exhaust!

    MOD #1

The OEM rear windows have a purple color to them. Depending on brand of film, it looks different and impossible to match the fronts. I went with 35% up front (little lighter to avoid the fuzz, but 20% would probably be the closest), but it was browner than the rears. I have to go back now to get the rears done in 20% to try to get the colors closer (at least from the inside).

Come to think of it, the pano looks browner so that at least matches my fronts. I actually sampled both in 20%: Llumar (browner, right tint) and 3M (bluer, left tint).

I LOL'd when I read this... I am in the same boat. The tint I got on the front is more warm than the OEM tinted glass.

So is the consensus Pinnacle is the closest match to factory hue?

Nice ride! We basically have the same car lol. Although I did recently changed out my gray weather tech mats..they tend to get slippery.

    MOD #1.5

Had the rear windows tinted in 15% and left the fronts at 35% (should have done 20% fronts). Much improved from the outside, still a tad blue on the inside but no longer an issue for me. I think the rear hatch glass is different than the factory tinted sides? Anybody without tint comment about that?

I noticed that as well, that the hatch glass is different from the rest of the factory glass. Which brand did you go with for the fronts?

Edit: Left the fronts at 35% (should have went to 20%) and had all rears done in 15%. They are all Llumar ATC which has a little bit of a browner tint.

Also, I think the pano glass is different. Might match the rear hatch, but definitely not the purple rear passenger windows.

This is exactly what I used. It is a bit "browner/gray". I had 20% wrapped all the way around, minus the windshield. I could have sex in the back seat now, and no one would be able to tell hahaha.

    Love the seats btw!

Need to get rid of the 4x4 look. Seems that KW Height Adjustable Springs is the way to go based on popularity. However, still trying to work a deal with ABT - they also offer a similar setup. Installing the KW setup.
