I have noticed on a couple occasions when raining or snowing, when i park the car, a lot of steam is coming from the front grill. The temp gauge is in normal range, oil temp ~200-205. Is this normal, has anyone experienced this.
Im assuming water on the rad which is evaporating.

A TTV8 will generate a lot of heat. I am surprised that half the stuff in that engine bay doesn't melt with the exhaust manifold and turbos sitting like they do.

I have a 2014 S6 and have not seen anything like that coming from mine. With that said, I only drive about 50 miles a day max.

In the two years owning the car, this season is first real Canadian winter, so never really seen snow buildup or steam before

I had that once on my SQ5 it kinda looked badass with steam coming out of the grill. Like a snorting bull. It's just the snow/water on the radiators.

I get that with snow/rain too. I don't really worry about it.
