    RI VagCom Help!

    I just bought an 2000 c5 2.7t and had a CEL on. I went to advanced and had p1606, p0300, and p0120. I know two of the codes were from driving the car with the MAF unplugged. I cleared the codes and the P1606 was the only one that remained. I then took the car on the highway and at about 55mph it started to shudder and the CEL came on blinked for 10sec and went back off.

    What I am asking is if there is anyone in RI that will help me by using their VagCom to scan my car.

    i'll be in ri on sunday.

    i'll be in newport on sunday. i could probably meet somewhere on my way back to boston on sunday night.

    That would be awesome. Since that post I've been busy trying to track down the misfire, it's tough with no registration and a 20 min drive to advanced, but anyways... I cleared the codes and after doing another round of diagonisis(running with MAF unplugged, etc) I scanned the car again and in addition to the 3 original codes I got a code for a cylinder 4 misfire and a bad o2 sensor. I assumed the o2 sensor was from driving it to advanced with the misfire. I bought a OEM coil and when I got home and pulled the coil and checked the plug it was obvious the plus wasn't firing cause it was in prestine condition and I noticed the terminal nut was upside down. Thinking that may had been the issue I flipped the terminal nut and put the old coil pack back in(misfire still) and and thethe new coil pack in instead and still it is misfiring......

    I'm in Hope, R.I. right off 295 so I could meet you of you could come right to my house, my garage is heated. ..lol

    If you still need a vagcom scan, I'd be happy to help. I see it has been a couple weeks, so I'm hoping you got squared away already.
