    S3 Pricing Assistance

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys, hoping to get some help from the S3 crowd. I currently own a 2015 S4 but am considering trading in for an S3. I am driving more now than when I bought the car and could use the economy of the 4cyl while still enjoying massive tuning potential.

My question is: what are you guys paying? I've searched and found a couple of threads, but hoping to get some more feedback here.
What is possible for % off MSRP? Are there any dealers you recommend that would make it worth the trip to save some money?
Thanks for any and all information you can add!

Here are a couple of the prices I found while searching through threads:

    MSRP: $51,650
with 6% Audi Supplier discount: $48,551 (Minneapolis, 6% off MSRP)

    MSRP - $49,050
Sale Price - $45,450 (Connecticut, 8% off MSRP)

I got about 5% off but it was on a practically base S3 MSRP which is 44k. Since you would be trading in another Audi they will give you some type of loyalty incentive or rebate. Seems like the prices you were quoted were pretty good.

Thanks for the input sub-zero. Those are prices I found while searching through threads, I haven't gotten any pricing quite yet.

There have been some sweet deals posted in these forums but I think it varies by market. Last summer, I had a very hard time getting to 6% off of MSRP as demand was high for these cars which presumably has softened a bit. I ended up biting the bullet at 5.5% off of a lightly optioned S3. 6 to 8% seems about right unless you luck into a dealer who needs to move a car fast.
2010 S4, Ibis, B&O, Nav. & Sport Differential retired. 2015 s3, Daytona grey with nav and nothing else.

Thanks clerkpalmer. I just priced out the build I wanted on TrueCar and on an MSRP of 52,545 it gave me a certificate for 48,265. 8% off MSRP is where that one fell, so I'd say 6-8% is about right, as you stated.

11% is possible. Just be aggressive and hold your ground.

^ I was being offered 11% last week but I wasn't ready to pull the trigger because I am currently in a TDI and I want to see what happens with that. But as fhwang stated, its definitely possible.

I got over $4000 off MSRP, and they had to order from factory since they could not find exact spec i wanted.

2016 white S3 with black optic performance package + titanium interior + red caliper + textile floor mat = over $52k - $4000 off = $48k out the door.
also, i knew i can pay off in 36 months so I did financing through western.org = .74% APR! I calculated and i be paying less than $1000 on interest fee in three years.

The car will be arriving this April, and i have performance parts already arriving, and as soon as APR stage3 kit release, that will be put on from GMPperformance in charlotte, NC.

Ok, good to know. I do owe on my S4, so I will definitely be firm on price now knowing this. You're in LA? Thanks!

I'm wanting a Sepang with Black Optic Performance Package, S Sport Seats, LED Lighting Package, Tech Package, B&O, and homelink. That interest rate is phenomenal! Congrats!

forgot to mention, mine is prestige model so sport seats, led package, tech package, B&O and homelink all comes as standard.
so dont get premium plus with options, get prestige model. So, in that way, you could get ADAPTIVE cruse control is standard on prestige and you can not get that option on premium plus.

Purchased my 2016 S3 on August 31 of 2015. List was approx $49K and got 10% off. The car was sitting on the lot.

Right now there seems to be a good supply of S3's on dealer lots. I just checked cars.com and saw there was 367 S3's sitting on dealer lots in a 200 mile radius of North Jersey. I saw a few dealers that had 10 or more sitting on their lots so I'd say there is more supply than demand.

    Good Luck.

I'm in Los Angeles. Therefore, tons of Audi dealers and a non issue with S3 inventory.

I have some suggestions I can give you just PM me if you're interested.

I understand it seems odd to go with P+ with all the options; however, When I priced them on using Audi's configurator, same specs on both cars, the prestige came out to be $52675 whereas the P+ with all options was $51325. The S Sport Seats are an add on item only ($1450) and don't come as standard even in the Prestige model. So while I cannot get Adaptive cruise as an option on a P+, I will be saving $1350 for a feature I didn't want.

Thanks for the additional info. I've seen several 10-11% offs now. I can agree, the dealerships in the Chicago area all have 10+ S3's sitting on their lots right now. Maybe it's because it's winter, or the new factor has worn off on the model.

Just to update, I've sent 1 email and received an offer of 8% off MSRP on any in stock S3's- this was without even haggling or any additional incentives that they have.

Take delivery at the very end of February or March, you should get the one in Connecticut for $43,050 or better!!!

Thanks for the input, end of months/quarters are the best times it seems.

Dang, that's another 10% off MSRP + incentives. Did you get it in St. Louis? I'd be trading in a 15' S4, so I think that's like 750 in loyalty.

One local dealer is/was offering $8k off MSRP on 2015 models. Was considering it but I really love my A3 Wagon. For reference the car is Glacier White w/ Performance Package and Driver's Assist. Interior is Black with magma Red. MSRP is $49615, with the immediate $8k off it is in the $41k range.

The hit you will take on the S4 will more than outweigh any fuel or operating savings from the S3, especially if tuned. Swapping the car because you would prefer an S3 is one thing, the economics are another.

It's a little of both to be honest. I'd enjoy a smaller more nimble car as well as the increased tuning potential. According to KBB, NADA, and Edmunds (using low values from each to be on the cautious side) I should expect to get 41k- and my car is definitely in very good to excellent condition. If I'm able to find the car I want at 11% off MSRP + Audi loyalty + trade in of 41, I could see myself swapping....but that's a lot of if's. I got a lot of good feedback here and I appreciate it. Thanks all!

haha! I just got an email from said dealer that now all 2015 models are $10k off MSRP. That is making the Glacier White S3 under $40k! I think I might stop by the dealer after work...

I got offered 8% off MSRP right off the bat, but that's only like $4200 on the build I want, plus they said off in stock cars also. That's nowhere near 10k.

Interesting. I looked into this a little. Seems like I should be able to get this if I register my car at my parents since my mom drives a newer Honda:
*For an owner or a member of an owner's household where a model year 2001 or newer BMW, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Acura, Infiniti, Toyota, or Honda vehicle is currently registered (proof of ownership/registration is required). Limit one incentive per eligible VIN. Audi of America will pay $1,250 towards the lease or purchase of a new, unused 2016 S3. Offer not available on 2016 RS 7 and A8 L W12. No trade-in required.*

any bill with the address will work. like cell phone or water/gas bill. the best one to change is the car insurance bill.

A bill showing I "live" in the same house as the Honda owner? It looked to me like they were only concerned with the owner proving they actually own the competitors car?

Had a base of $51,450 and paid $45,000
I can say that I could have gotten even lower if I went for the red exterior instead of monsoon grey. So basically I got 12.5% off.
For reference my S3 is a Prem. plus, but fully loaded.
