    Small squeak from front during cold start...

    As title says...only happens when first starts. Goes away after about a minute. I'm stage 2 EPL. Thinking maybe an idler pulley? Anyone have any incite?? Should I be concerned??

    Just the nature of the beast, this car is notorious when it comes to creaks/squeaks/strange sounds in the colder months. If it occurs past the warming up stage I would be concerned however.

    Same sounds here. Assuming it's a belt related squeaking sound.

    It could be 2 easy things. It could be your secondary air injection air pump. Or your serp belt making noise. Those are the 2 easiest things. I would have someone start it while you have the hood open and look and listen around.

    +1. Exactly what I did...had my chick start the car cold while I stood in front of the engine bay. I didn't notice the sound until I put my intake on and it only happens when it's cold. It's a distinctive "whistling" sound that comes from the tube where the small breather filter attaches.

    My belt squeaks at start up for a few minutes and its brand new it may be a pulley or something
