Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the site, but have been reading quite a bit. I recently bought a new 2016 SQ5 in Sepang Blue. Has the tech package, with white alcantara, black optics package, and carbon package for interior. Think that was it? Has the 21" wheels. Done a decent amount of research and this is my build so far. Please if you have any suggestions let me know.

Project Skylar:

So far just ordered: H&R -1 lowering springs, ECS spacers 12.5mm in front and 20mm in the back. Springs i plan on keeping for a few years so i can save up for the AccuAir suspension. Springs and spacers go on this thursday!

AccuAir Suspension (future upgrade in a few years i hope, pretty expensive so i need to save up)

APR stage 2+ this includes carbon fiber intake and supercharger pulley and stage 2 ECU tune.(hopefully this summer i plan on doing this, the should bump up HP from 354 to 440ish)

Caracter Body Kit. (again future upgrade, really love the look)

Wheels: Honestly i have no idea what kind to get, i saw so many nice ones, ill decide when the time comes, this summer of 2016 i also plan on powder coating my stock wheels most likely, not sure maybe bronze or gold or gunmetal grey? Once my tires wear out (i have summer tires on currently) ill get winter tires for the stock rims and that will be my winter set. Idk what my summer set will be at the moment.

Would love to get the TAG blacked out Audi emblems, but damn they are so expensive lol, about 580 when i checked on the website. Eventually ill get them.

AWE TUNING AUDI SQ5 TOURING EDITION EXHAUST honestly want this on as fast as possible, but most likely will have to wait till next summer, gonna get the Black tip version with the non-res downpipes, $3k option there.

Umm honestly i think thats it, if i think of something else i will be sure to post it back up, or if someone gives me a really good idea. Im gonna post pictures as i get them. All i have at the moment are the pics from before i drove it out of the dealership. Looked beautiful in the showroom! Ill also make sure to take before and after pictures of the spring and spacer combo and post those as well! Thanks for reading everyone!!

UPDATE! 4/5/16: Ok its been about 2-3months now. I have decided on changing some things up with the build.
TUNE: No longer getting APR, am gonna go with GIAC most likely, been hearing better things about them over APR with their support and product.
EXHAUST: Got a good deal on AWE and went for it. LOVE the sound, am not gonna do the downpipes would be way too loud for me. Perfect as is.
WHEELS:......no idea yet waiting till i get more money now, and see which good deal pops up.
INTAKE: Need a high flow CAI, am gonna go with either the AWE intake, or Roc Euro. Really leaning towards Roc, love the way the open intake looks and heard good things about the sound. Worried it will be too loud though, not sure only one way to find out i guess.

UPDATE 4/28/16: Ok, after hearing from doom, 034 motorsports are going to be releasing a new tune! I am very excited about this, hopefully faster that GIAC. I have talked to 034 by email and am hoping to work something out with them and be one of the first to get this new tune, dyno it. Along with every single mount they make. Planning on possibly taking a 2000 mile road trip down to Cali to visit them for this

we will see what happens!!

Congrats! Just an FYI but those look like the 20" wheels. If you're planning to turn them into your winters anyway, you'll probably be much happier with your tire options at that size anyway.

I hope he didn't order it with 21s. That would make 2 people who have been duped on the 21s when ordering black optics.

The wheels in the picture are 20". In fact, this is identical to mine except for the white Alcantara...mine's black.
I didn't get this one with 21"s because I already had a set of 21" wheels for it.

Oh well I'm not sure then. Ill double check but since you guys say its 20 then yea. I just thought the regular size these came with was 20" but i guess not. Ill double check though.

They do come with 20" regularly. The 21"s are optional. If you order black optics with 21" wheels, you (or the salesman) have to make sure to select the 21" wheels after the black optics. If you select the 21"s and then black optics, they switch back to these 20" 5V titanium wheels that come with the black optics.

Hahaha I was hoping no one would notice my summer tires lol. That's how it came unfortunately. As for the pics I'm sorry guys gonna have to wait till tomorrow morning. The shop I left it at has been slacking. So I'm forced to pick up my baby in the morning.... 😠

Great looking vehicle and sepang looks sharp with that interior color combo. I like your list of mod plans too. If you want to save money on blacked out emblems, plastidip would be a nice DIY project in the spring.

Alright guys i know it has been a little while, hopefully no one has forgotten about my beast lol. A lot has changed with this build, like what i want to do and stuff. Gonna update that up top. ok, I GOT AWE EXHAUST!!! Very happy with this exhaust, only reason i got it now was because AWE sold this as refurbished, this was the exhaust from their test model car. They gave me new tips, everything looked new. And it was like $1450 with another 50 for shipping. Damn good deal, if it wasn't for this i honestly was gonna go with magnaflow. Well here are some pics, very happy with the choice complements the car SO well and have gotten so many complements on it, and i just did my 5k oil change as well. Miles are raking up quickly when I'm driving to UIC in chicago every day.

Ok i have cleaned up the car for some nice shots....keep in mind my version of nice shots still involves the use of my iPhone 6 to take the photo's lol. Sorry i know its not very professional but this summer when I'm free ill get a photoshoot lined up, just in time for some more mods and things I'm diabolically planning

Hey Jimminez, thanks man. If you want the black tips you can either buy them or even better just take them and get the ceramic coated or powder coated. Would look amazing, highly recommend. I also had them weld my tips on because i did not like the clamps at all, also one broke very easily... :( looks better welded, you can't see any clamps now :)

Thanks, yes the spacers are installed on the car. Wheels sit flush with the fender.

My drive is about 100 miles a day give or take a bit. Oh and dave just so you know i love the no badge look but in the summer I'm gonna but the TAG blackout emblems. Yea its like $500 i know but damn i don't have much choice, satin black Rings front and rear, then the satin black SQ5 emblems but here is the catch. The red trim on the S, I'm gonna have Tag make it in lime green most likely, the have an example of an S4 emblem with that color and i think it will look sick on the sepang blue and a nice touch! Quite excited for those and can't wait to place an order. No matter how expensive

Fortunately my Milltek system has clamped tips so a easy swap or as you said, powder coat. I had black diamond finish on my last two AWE systems and was happy. Milltek offers a flat black and chose the chrome since I don't have the BO package but am regretting it. Once I paint my valance black and install black tips, I'll be happy.

Got them from tire rack. Good deal plus shipped to installer.

And yea jimminez, i would recommend just coating them. So hard to keep them clean. Or at least i would look up some VERY strong cleaner to get rid of the carbon build up. Mine are already getting there and i haven't it on that long :/

Talked to 034 motorsports! Stage 2 on the way, and i might be taking a road trip down to cali this summer to see 034 motorsports and get the new tune plus all their mount. We will see what happens. Excited to see what they make.

Looks Good! Btw, if you are planning having your windows tinted check this place out. The shop Owner/Installer did a good job on my Q and I would highly recommend them to anybody around IL chapter.

Haha yea i know the guy from Umbra pretty well also, he has tinted 2 of my cars and a couple of my friend's cars. He is an awesome guy. Probably will get my windows tinted darker this summer as well.

But your's also was accelerated due to the hi-flow exhaust out of one tip.

Honestly, if a flap version was available I may have gotten it due to the flexibility... But after the AWE, I have no regrets.

Drum you should just buy polish and fix up both. Works really well from what i have seen, I'm gonna need to do it to mine soon, that carbon piles up soooo fast its crazy.

I have polish in my trunk bro... If we ever meet I got you
