Audi B8 Intake with reduced noise!?

I have an KN&N typhoon intake in right now. When I accelerate it has a very annoying whistling sound. Fortunately KN&N has a 100% satisfaction guarantee so I'll get my money back. However, I'm looking to find a different intake and it seems that it's a reoccurring issue.

Wondering if anybody knows of an intake with reduced noise, same performance upgrade?

I have, I just can't seem to find a clear answer. Some say it has slight whistling, some say the love it. I almost pot the Injen Cold Air intake, but then found one thread that showed it makes a very loud whining noise which would be the same as my KN&N that's already installed!

I guess my question to you is, why do you want intake? Most people on this forum will tell you that you won't get any real performance from an intake. I think a lot of people get intake for the noise. Why not slap a silicone inlet hose on?

I see you're new here so, welcome to the group. Since you said you searched and found threads on these topics, just post your questions on the already existing thread. It cuts down the useless threads and keep all info in the same thread already on the subject.

I believe the intake whistle is caused by the MAF sensor as we are hearing the air pass through it because it is so close to the filter on a lot of these intake systems. I agree with other post a intake by itself wont do much for performance but with other supporting mods it certainly doesn't hurt.

Yes its called the stock air box with a k&n or AFE panel filter, there are 0 power gains from an intake on these cars.
