Oil leaked out of intercooler piping...

When I was doing a timing belt job last week I pulled off one of the lower intercooler hoses and a bunch of oil leaked out. Is this an excessive amount or about normal accumulation at 139k miles?

Seems normal, most intercoolers will have oil in it.

That's a relief! I'm not ready to do turbos yet!

Not sure if they're directly related, but I seem to get more oil from the intercooler lines if I forget to empty my catch can for a while...like 3 months.

Much better than the k04's were on my car, about three quarts came out of my ic. The turbos were destroyed and smoked under boost in addition to the dentist drill.

Not normal at all, I never had that amount off oil on my intercooler hoses.

Im with zba on this one. That looks to be pretty typical, especially if it hasnt been apart in a long time.
As dark and dirty as it looks, also seems like it is more from pcv condensate.
If there were more, or it looked clean and fresh, I would be more worried.
There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.
