UPDATE (11:35am 8 Feb 16): It appears they are mounting holes for the parking sensor array NOT found in US models. The caps with the holes/lenses are for the sensors to be unobstructed, I'm guessing. Noice.
Hello! While I was commuting back to the SF Bay Area a week or so ago, in the evening, a posse of rogue tumbleweeds decided to cut across I-5; there was nothing short of veering dangerously I could really do about it, so I ended up grazing one of the larger tumbleweeds. My car has an aftermarket mesh bumper, and on the sides of the license plate area, there are two caps. One of those caps was taken off when I came into contact with the tumbleweed.
There is now an exposed hole, as well as on the other side (hidden by the cap), which looks like it may be for a bulb socket/connector which can be inserted and turned to lock into place. Any idea what it could be for? Also, does anyone have any suggestions for buying a replacement cap? I've searched up and down, contacted various sellers, looked on ECS, etc etc to no avail. I don't want to leave the hole exposed, simply because it looks junky. Anyway, anything helps. Thank you!

Image to illustrate (Notice the extra set of caps have holes or lenses in them, presumably for lights?)
