I have the 034 dogbone insert and they were trying to claim that was it. I called BS right away. This is the same dealer that said it would be "YEAR" to get the original RSB's related to the TSB. I called Audi NA HQ - 4 days later parts were in.
It gets better - I also have EBC yellow stuff pads still on the front of the car. Was too lazy to pull them back off after my last track event. They want the OEM's to put back on, because they think the pads might be knocking around in the caliper. I laughed and said sure go for it.
Well I might be eating crow. To my complete shock, the dealership called at lunch and said returning the front pads to stock took out the remaining noise. I'll pickup tonight or tomorrow and will confirm. Keep in mind they did do the RSB's already, but did report still hearing the noise. If they are correct, this will be first time
ever that aftermarket pads have caused an issue. Now I have had pads move fore and aft, but not up and down which is what would be occurring in this instance.
