    Sunroof won't stay closed

Hope there is any easy fix. Opened my sunroof this morning due to the great weather but when I tried to close it, it gets 95% of the way there and springs back open like it hit something. Both tracks are clear and I've even attempted to hold the wind deflector down and it still kicks open.

I did the emergency close procedure listed in the manual and it closes but never goes flush with the top of the car.

    Any ideas?

Sounds like you could have something jammed in the armatures, like a leaf or a Maple 'twirly' seed pod.

Did you ever grease up the rails? I had that same problem, air compressor and some lubricant fixed it.

Could be that somethings jammed also.

If it's not sitting flush with the emergency close then something is blocking it

Checked again today after work and there was a small plastic piece jammed in there. Not sure how it got there but after I took it out the roof closed.

    Thanks for the help.

Seriously, this. I grease mine every other summer. If you go to the dealership you can usually ask to borrow a can of the stuff and grease the sunroof + rails, it takes literally 30s and 1-2oz of fluid (better than buying the can for $90...)

Or ask them to grease the sunroof while you're in for service.

edit: I had a squeaky sunroof that was driving me mad, greased it up and haven't heard from it since.

This has happened on all 3 Audis I have owned. Like others have said it needs to be a part of normal maintenance greasing the rails, I also had a sensor go bad on the B6 A4 I had.
