i have an a4 2002 awd. I know from you guys and other forums that my ko4 turbo should just bolt in , straight fitment . Now my question is , since i have the ko3 on b6 2002 and want to upgrade to ko4 , if i put the ko4 without tune it, exhaust, been doing a little of research and found out that i dont necessarily need larger injectors but im not sure. Would i be expecting engine codes? Missfires? Some weird stuff? If you put the ko4 as a replacement?... Of course i will get a proper tune, exhaust etcc ONCE i get the money, but for now what are the chances that something goes wrong? Or maybe should i just wait once i have everything?

If you are replacing the K03 with a K04 and leaving everything else totally OEM you should not have a problem. You may notice a very slight increase in performance. As you already noted In order to take advantage of the K04 you will need the proper hardware and software.

You should not have any issues as long as you are running the OEM (stock) tuning. You will have issues if you run something like a stage 1 tune that's designed for a K03 at higher boost levels. What will happen is that you will go into an overboost condition and the ECM will put you in limp mode. But as long as you are running the OEM tuning you should be fine.

Nah no improvement there it's still a slug with the k04 and every bolt on known to man. It's very little faster if any than the k03 stock. Let Dave at motoza tune it he has done mine very well. I made 256 /293 whp and wtrq.
