Cruise cotrol isn`t working after stalk replacement! Help!

Hello everyone. I have a huge problem with my cruise control on my Audi a4 b7. Namely, today I took my car to a workshop to have my broken cruise control stalk replaced. After an hour or so, it was done, so I took a test drive and figured out it did n`t work! At all, dead completely! Then I drove my car back to the workshop to have it checked, but the guy who replaced it said he did everything properly. I googled a bit afterwards when I got back home and it mostly says it needs some coding, or better to say re-coding. My question is guys, what should I do now? If recoding is needed, can anyone please tell me, step-by-step, what to do? My Audi is 1.9 tdi, 2006., with multi-functional steering wheel.

    Thanks in advance!

So you had CC and it used to work? Now they put a new stalk switch in it and your tech says it needs coding? If I've got that right, he's wrong. There is no module in the CC stalk and it cannot be coded. If your CC used to work, it's coded fine. I'm betting your tech left a plug loose.

Problem solved! The problem with CC was actually inside the CC stalk/box itself. The tech opened it and wanted to combine it with the old one and then noticed the problem-the sliding mechanism was not in place. The conclusion is-no coding of any kind was needed!
