Question on HID fogs (Don't shoot me)

Yes I did search the forums and other Audi sites as well, but can't get a clear answer.

I have an h11 morimoto hid kit 35w left over from my previous car. I read that the B8 fogs are h11.

Now some people say the HID will melt your fog light reflectors and some say they won't. Mostly people with cheaper kits have melted. This kit I have is $150 from retrofitsource.

I know that 55w is overkill and probably will melt everything.

    How about 35w?

Can't seem to find a clear answer

    Thanks

I ran both 55w and 35w kits on my A5. I found that with the 55w kit I had issues with the passenger side not firing up at times without using a relay. The 35w is what I am currently using and works great with no relay.

How long have you had your current kit?
