Audi to Offer Akrapovic-Designed ‘Audi Sport’ Exhaust System for RS 7 performance

And check the box for only $9,350.00

    http://fourtitude.com/news/Audi_News...7-performance/

Whether it be at our friendly neighborhood Audi dealer, or the counter of an In-N-Out, we’re quite fond of hidden menus. Sometimes found in the form of a special color (like our former Suzuka Grey S4 long-term car), other times merely some subtle badging (our current Project allroad comes to mind), we feel its imperative to go a bit deeper than what’s available in the online configurator. Earlier today, we received a tip for one such hidden menu item, said to be available in the written order guide for Audi’s upcoming RS 7 performance.

For the sum of $9,350, Audi will outfit your new RS 7 performance with an ‘Audi Sport’ branded exhaust system designed and manufactured by motorsport partner Akrapovič. Constructed as a private label system (not to be confused with Akra’s off-the-shelf aftermarket kit), the exhaust is said to come in at roughly 20lbs less than the stock system, and offer a minor bump in power. Regardless of specifics, it’s an impressive step by the brand to bring a motorsports partner onboard to capture some of the extremely lucrative aftermarket potential.

At the moment information is quite sparse, but those interested should contact their dealer for additional information.

True. So I guess the question, then, is "is it worth 3k to have your exhaust under warranty?". I'd personally say no. Plus I'm not a huge fan of the "Audi Sport" branding for the high end components. I know it's their racing team(s) or w/e, but it's not very "hip". Ha

Warranty isn't the issue for a catback, but state inspections can be.

a option that is under warranty and covered by insurance in the event of a claim. Nobody thinks about the last part but that is a important puzzle piece. Still think it is expensive as hell but OE quality is tough to argue with.
