    MMI Circuit board replacement

Over Christmas, we were traveling and some D-Bag decided to brake check me. Long story short the soda my wife was drinking went forward and into the MMI controls.
I was able to restore some function of the circuit board by blasting it with QD Electric Cleaner. This is only a temporary fix.
After following this video I managed to sucussfully fix the MMI controls without spending $500+.

    What you will need:
    T20 torx
1 dozen tooth picks (you'll see why)
    Circuit board: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-new-for...88363#shpCntId

    Video:

(pay close attention to the tooth pick trick, life saving stuff there)

    Very straight forward:

As you can see what a difference the new board looks like.

I decided to also replace the volume knob as well. You can see the old one is chipped and busted looking. Be careful of the clear plastic piece as it can be broken easily.

While having all this out, I decided to vinyl wrap the wood grain with a nice gloss black just for fun.

And that is it. Whole process minus the vinyl wrap took 15 minutes.

We learned the hard way how easily this can happen. I now have a new rule for in the car, no non seal-able drinks allowed.
