Too much?

Hi guys, not sure if this is the right forum or not but I am looking for advice on buying a 2008 A4 2.0T FSI (private sale).

The car is in great shape, and has 61,000 KM. They aren't including winter tires, just summers with stock rims in good condition. They are asking $14,500 CDN, which I thought was a little high and countered with $12,500 CDN. I was going to take it for a pre-purchase inspection at Audi but figured I'd talk price beforehand as not to waste money on the inspection.

Is this too much? Should I pay $14,000 if they decline? Should I keep looking? It's "S-Line" in that it has the badges/door sills/aggressive bumpers, but not the sport suspension, S-line steering wheel, etc.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I got my "S-Line look" 2008, A4 Avant, 6MT that was meticulously maintained by its single owner, with only 30k on the new Audi replace engine, for $8k. Sure, mine had 250k on the clock, but looked brand new.

I would keep shopping. Even with that mileage, you'll be coming into major servicing soon. Buy one wit more miles that was enthusiast owned and you'll be much happier. Plus, you'll likely pay between a third and a quarter less than your offer...

Possibly will be listing my 2007 A4 stage 3. Motor will be new 0km on it 2.1T and Garrett 2867GTX Turbo, If interested in complete stage 3 car contact me. Will cost more then that car but it's got over $13500 in upgrades.
