Weird request... who has either of these wheels blacked out on S5/A5?

So, I have two sets of OEM wheels for my S5 (2012). One set the ones that came with the car and the other off another S5/A5. Both are minty fresh with zero curbing. I really want new wheels. But I also want a few other things that if I buy wheels, I have to wait. So, I am thinking of powder coating a set and keeping the other as the winter setup. I have both in 19" with one set the summer Michelins on and the other with winter tires.

I've thought about selling one set and getting a new set, but I think powder coating will be a better choice. Getting the H&R spacers to take them out a bit and getting the OE Sport springs to give it a nice stance...

So, anyone have one of these shown in black or at least charcoal on their S5?A5?

    OEM on the car:

Never been a fan of those wheels in black on the S5 specially on a white car. I seen them powder coated black with the flakes that look pretty good though but on a A4 i think.

Which ones are you not a fan of? The link MacFady provided showed a nice matte black coating that looks pretty good. I just wonder if the other set will look more aggressive?

Look up GlazierGlaze on Instagram, a member here with a black B8 S5. He runs the stock 19" Y-spoke as a winter wheel plasti-dipped I believe. But man are his summer wheels SEXY! I love his car in summer form, very clean.

I was thinking of doing this to my RS5. I have the light silver in these wheels, but I like the darker rims.

Those look great with that particular color. Very nice for a "winter wheel"! The stock 19" Y spokes end up turning gunmetal looking anyway after driving in sloppy weather lol.

What wheels/color do you run in summer? Just curious what's your suspension setup as well? Looks good!

Awesome, I have OE Springs ready to be installed here any day now soon. EXACTLY the kind of drop I was looking for. Looks great with the stock wheels as well. I'll have my stock 19"s until spring & I'll be putting AG 580's on.

They'll look great. I had spacers on my stock wheels to complete the look. 15mm front and 20mm rear. I've heard some run 20/15 though.

I have the same winter wheels. I plastidipped them black to hide some curbing.

Awesome, guys!! Not sure what ones I will do. Ultimately, maybe I should sell a set and use that towards new wheels and quit being such a cheap ass... :D
