    amber side markers

trying to decide how to tackle the eyesores that are the amber side markers which plague my life. I always buy e-codes for all of my cars but at $3-5k for this car, I am entertaining the idea of cracking open the headlights and painting the side markers. I'd love some input on what people think would look best. I wish someone made a clear replacement like on some other audi platforms but I'd imagine the market to be too small with this platform.

Please do it!!! I've been hoping to see someone brave enough to do it and post a how to. In other cars, I've seen people bake their headlights to loosen up the glue and then pry the lens off. Perhaps that could be a start to your research.

I disabled the light through VAG. Not sure I really notice the lens itself as much on my 16 with the new headlight design.

My first thought is to just remove the marker completely. I read somewhere that there's a hole where the bulb is. If that's true then maybe you can cover the smaller hole and blend it in using the same color as the silver trim on the inside housing?

Or maybe you can just paint the yellow marker to match the silver trim on the bottom.

I'm really looking to do the same on both my 6's but I'm hesitant to open up a headlight. I personally just want to paint the reflectors gray similar to the factory ecodes. My issue is I don't trust myself to do it and I can't find any place online that seems legit and has a quick turn around. Most that I found are out of business which makes me think that by the time I have an issue with fogging or something they won't be around to fix it.

reflectors are built into the headlights on the s6 and not the bumper

That's an excellent right up! I probably won't be dipping my headlight, maybe my rims though.
