Front Shocks. Can someone confirm fitment for Sport Suspension?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
The dealer just replaced the front shocks on my '08 A4 2.0T Front Trak. I have Sport Suspension and the rear shocks are 'red' but never looked at the fronts before, but today I decided to give it a glance at my newly installed front shocks and found out that:
    1) they are 'black' color
    2) made by Monroe (Belgium) with the Audi logo on it.
The numbers are 8E0 DG that's it but my bill states 8E0-413-031-DG (doesn't really mean anything unless...). Just wanted to know if the shock experts here can help chime in whether I'm getting the right parts installed or not.

Thanks. Not much info in terms of whether this for sport suspension or not. I read somewhere in this forum that the numbers ending 'DG' should be sport, or should they be red? Not sure of this is a Bilstein thing and not standard color codes for all others.

Monroe is the manufacturer for Audi shocks. However, according to the GAP website, the part number should end in DF not DG. And unless they recently changed the color scheme, they should be red. You should confirm this with the dealer and then double check with another dealer on the right part number. If it is a non sport shock, you are running a mismatch setup.

^^Thanks. I will certainly have to pay them a visit...again ...and eventually make them replace what's right for my car!

I just removed my sport suspension so I'll take a look at what mine say. All of them were red except for the front drivers side which was black, no idea why. Bought the car late December.

That's weird, so you have three red ones and one black?

Correct. Both the red and black are the same part number though.

They are currently for sale, FYI anyone

So that we can clear some things. Here's another poster's from the "what did you do..." thread. He obviously has red ones. So long as the numbers are correct and made for Sport Suspension, I don't care what color it is. So according to Adam044, I guess not all Sport Suspension struts have to be red, at least not with these newer ones.

Also, here's a copy/paste reply to my inquiry (with specifics for Sport Suspension) from the guys at Audi Henderson:
"The part number for your front shocks is 8E0-413-031-DG. They are made by Monroe. it does not specify the color".
