i.e. Here are the products that are on sale. 20% off the price listed. I feel like i'm doing business with a snake oil salesman sometimes. I don't want to email you about brake prices. Just post your price. It can't possibly be easier to answer 40 different pm's about the price of an object.

I think it has something to do with agreements between manufacturers and distributors regarding what the distributors are allowed to show for pricing. Probably something like "MSRP for Wheel Design X is $500. You can sell it for $0.80X but you're not allowed to publish the price as $400." It's because today's list price is $500 but tomorrow/next month/next year's list price might be $600. The manufacturer and vendor may have no problem offering an occasional 20% off list price, but they don't want that $400 price coming back to haunt them in the future.

The prices that are posted are the MSRP prices so it would be a 20% off of the standard finishes for these.

For example if you purchased a set of 20" fitment, at $675 retail.
With this sale you would pay $2160 shipped.

For a special color finish it will be a $500 additional charge.
