    Cutting up the stock exhaust

    On my s6, I have deleted the suitcase muffler. I am looking for just a bit more volume. I drive about 25 miles to work each way, so I have no desire to have a loud screaming exhaust...

    I am wondering if anyone has deleted the front resonators on the exhaust? I don't think I am ready to drop the mufflers...


    Has anyone deleted the fronts after already deleting the suitcase?

    Unless he did it later on, FAST only did the center resonator.

    I was referring to the downpipe resonator, per that diagram. I already had the center resonator removed.


    I went ahead and did the downpipe resonator delete this afternoon. I will grab some pics and a video... initial impression isn't overwhelming. I was pretty used to the suitcase being gone. This does slightly more. 99% of the time it's almost indistinguishable, but under hard acceleration it is slightly more volume.

    I say for those willing to remove the suitcase, just take the other out as well...it still sounds like a factory exhaust.

    I did straight pipe on both. An x-pipe in the suitcase location would be reasonable...

    AWE puts an x-pipe closer to the front resonators, which I think is how they get the nicer note from the exhaust.

    Thanks. Sounds nice, especially at start up. What year is your S6? Was your exhaust a sport exhaust or the standard exhaust?

    I was waiting for the rev up in the second video, but it never happened...
