Audi TT review from Hannah Elliott - Bloomberg, rant

I read this review and found it really bad. Almost every other test rates the car very highly and it seems like the tester didn't even drive it. Am I just biased? I had a MK2 TTS, loved it and now drive an A5 but the TTS was one of the more fun cars I've had. Here are a couple highlights that made me cringe:

"It’s a little generous to call the 2016 Audi TT a sports car." - That was the opening sentence.

"The TT weighs less than 3,200 pounds, thanks to that aluminum body, which makes it feel a bit effervescent to drive. It can and will catch air if you take certain turns hard enough.." Really? Did she catch air turning hard on public road? I'd hate to drive with her.

"And without too much effort you can skid quite easily in this on a fast exit ramp dismount." Again, seems implausible?

Anyway, I hated this review, it is what is wrong with auto journalism these days. How is this person qualified? It seemed like she didn't drive the car or doesn't have any experience and was trying to write a piece that would somehow maker her seem like an expert but made her look like a moron.

Meh...lack luster article. I think some points she hit and some points she just "assumed" and to your point, wrote them after taking a ten minute trip to Sephora or Ulta.

I had a fairly heavily modded S4 before this I know as big and heavy of a car as it was compared to the TTS it drove well and felt planted. IMHO the TTS with stock rubber and no mods beyond the dogbone mount AND in Chicago cold (aka salt dirty streets with summer rubber) is leaps and bounds ahead of my s4. Obviously weighing a hell of a lot less helps but the point and shoot with the front of the car is more direct.

I didn't think the halex was capable of transferring a 100% of the power to the front or back...?

Obviously any car can be jumped to "catch air" but the TTS is no more than any other car, doesn't feel lofty at all.

Interior is tits, and while ill admit the older TTs did have curves, this new one looks mean. The front is second to only the R8 in Audi's current line up as far as aggressiveness goes (they are closely similar).

Im not sure if her "skid on exit ramp" is meant to say the car is squirmy or is fun to kick out. If the latter I will agree, with TCS off fully (holding down method) it makes it possible to push the tail under the right conditions....but its not something it does willingly.

Hopefully someone with proper review skills and merit gets behind one soon and lends an opinion.

I think it will be one of the most beautiful cars of 2016 with its amazing interior design and breathtaking.
