So guys I have gotten tired of the 1.8t it gave me to many problems I decided to go with a 3.0 with a cat delete with awd I already have the c5 s line so decided not to go 2.7t so I have seen almost every d.i.y on this to awd conversion there is stuff they leave out there is a way to wire the speedo on the cluster wich I don't know how to do it also the has gauge confuses me they said to connect the power wire to the cluster pin 12 so I did and it doesn't work right and put the ground on the other sending wire my main problem is the speedo not working as well as the gas gauge can anyone tell me how to at least do the spedo. On the cluster and yes its a tiptronic

obviously the speedo issue is dependent on which transmission and what MY you have.

the fuel sender is documented in my AWD conversion thread - you need to run the wire to the cluster and change the cluster coding

On cars that have the speed signal to the speedometer from the ABS from the factory, the speed signal is sent from the ABS to the instrument cluster on the power train CAN buss.

Alternatively, there is an unused speed signal output terminal in the ABS connector, terminal pin 33, that can be used to connect a wire to the IC for the speed signal input to the IC/speedometer.

Go to the dealer and get 2 repair wires, one with the terminals to fit the ABS controller terminal pin #33, and the other repair wire with terminals to fit the IC wiring connector and terminal pin for the speed input at the IC/speedometer. Then splice the two repair wires on each end of a wire run between the ABS controller and the speedometer. Insert the wire terminals on the repair wires into the respective connector terminal housings at the ABS and the speedometer.

It will help a lot to get the wiring diagrams for the ABS and instrument cluster.
