Out of curiosity, what is the difference between a manual AEB crank and an auto AEB crank, besides the removable snout/adapted for the flex plate torque converter? I have an AEB motor I'd do cheap, or separate for the block or just crank, but it was a tiptronic. Here's a picture of the adapter, which can be removed from the crank and a pilot bearing pressed into it's place. http://i.imgur.com/5AbTNtM.jpg

I did something similar when I converted a '96 A6 to a stick using the flywheel/clutch/transmission from a '92 S4. I had to pull the adapter out of the crank first. 5 minutes using the pilot bearing tool. https://vw.snapon.com/SpecialToolsDe...temid=28550007
