Cars going in for alot of work

So I'm at almost 100k. I'm going to be going through my car doing a lot of maintenance. I want some honest opinions. As I'm going to be spending quite a bit of money. I drive this car a lot and I love it. I plan on keeping it for a while. I recently got the P2015 for the failed intake manifold and some random misfires at idle. I'm going to be getting a new intake manifold. Is there a specific number that I should get, possibly a revision with less issues ?? I'm replacing my plugs, ( R8 coils and plugs were only 3 months old), I ordered some BG ISC to do a full carbon cleaning. Since I'm doing all of that I'm going to do a oil change as well. ECS kit (pentisin oil, Mann filter, ECS magnetic drain plug) and a ECS oil dip stick. this will be step one.

Step two will be Transmission fluid flush, fresh fluid and filter. Replace my left front CV axle boots and grease, as I have a small 1/2" tear. Replace my differential fluid front and rear (I chose Motul as i have always used that with my bikes in the past), install ECS rear differential mounts, I was looking at the 034 transmission mount as well. Looking for reviews on both of those. also plan on inspecting suspension and brakes all the way around.

Step three. This one will be rather expensive but needs to be done. Coolant flush, new water pump with a metal impeller, Forge silicone coolant hoses, replace all the fluid. New Thermostat and belt. Since this is being done I figured that it would be a good time to do the timing chain as well. Is there any specific one I should look for that wont need to be serviced for a while. I would like to get 200K out of this car.

If you have any other suggestions as far as things I should address please feel free to chime in. I want to make sure this this car is very well taken care of. I know the body and interior is flaw less. The entire car was ceramic coated, the under carriage has 4 coats of undercoating/ sound proofing. I wash it twice a week regardless. The interior is flawless as well.

Timing chain service as sometimes the upper chain stretches abd because of the high oil intervals that were poorly recommended by audi causing the chain guides and tensioner to go bad due to low oil levels

Timing chain tensioner. I also have a 2009 and those babies will blow and then screw up the top end. I just did this last week. I'm at 120k miles. You should do this before you do any other preventative maintenance. Fix what is broken, but I'd recommend paying for the tensioner now and do other preventative stuff later. It is a ticking time bomb. You can do it yourself, but need to buy about $300 of Audi tools which are necessary to properly take the harmonic balancer (crank pulley) off and put it back on. I did all of this in my garage and then two of the 15 f-ing bolts holding the lower chain cover were so seized on that I stripped them. I had to get help to finish the job which was a real kick in the gut. I was literally four bolts away from getting the job done but 2 on the cover decided to screw my day up.

While you're in there, you should replace the guides. They are cheap to buy. If you replace the chain, which you should while you're at it, you'll need a couple more Audi tools to hold the upper gears in place. Pay for tools or move the ledger to labor costs for a shop to do. It's up to you. But please do this before you spend money on things that are not yet broken.

I also had the engine mounts replaced. They were shot. Now I barely feel the car move when the engine starts.

It's the tensioner, chain is secondary, but needed while in there.

No. oil intervals are not the problem. The problem is the old timing chain tensioner design. It works off of oil pressure and has a faulty design. https://youtu.be/qAdSyBRHOPs this is a decent explanation.

Thanks for the input, I recently bought the revision tensioner and upper timing chain, new cover, (and guides just in case). I'm getting new pistons in a week from Audi with the good ole Consumption lawsuit so while the engine comes out I might as well at 93k miles.

Regarding the intake manifold, I replaced mine using ECS tuning as the source for parts. you can get what you need for your model year from there. You can do this yourself as well as the carbon cleaning. There is plenty on youtube to get the idea, mostly on VWs but you can get the idea. I did this a month ago. It's not difficult, just time consuming and so forth. I bought the tool kit to replace the gasket/sleeve on the fuel injectors and pull/insert them as well as the various gaskets, mount, etc. (the replacement seals/gaskets/mount are not expensive) because I anticipated some or all of the injectors coming out when I pulled off the intake manifold. With high mileage and the intake manifold off, it's a cheap preventative thing anyway. Also you should dab some of the BG ISC onto a rag to clean the fuel injectors. They will have funk on them.

Save the oil change if you can for when you do the timing chain tensioner, unless you need to do the oil change sooner.

The timing chain is on the front of the engine and the water pump is on the driver's side I believe. You can do the chain tensioner, guides, and chain if you're adventorous and cheap like me.

Absolutely! I don't know the process for the pistons, but I can't imagine that they aren't looking right at the two bolts that hold the tensioner onto the block. Getting in there and out is 95% of the work. Here's one with a clear view of the POS. https://youtu.be/hfsq1b6-sas
