ECS LED license plate bulbs question

Interested in LED bulbs for my rear plate. I have a 2010 S4. Yes, I've searched all the threads.

ECS offers two ones and I'm not sure which to get.

Says it's from the 2013 model year. Is that OEM? Will it fit my 2010 S4 without error codes? Just plug and play?

Then this one: https://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B8_S4...late/ES463007/

Says up to 2012.

Anyone know the difference? My wants are: OEM-look (a lot of these aftermarket are way too bright) and plug and play (no error codes to deal with).

I have the up to 2012 LED bulbs on my 2012 Avant and they do not throw error codes, but they are substantially brighter than the OEM bulbs on the newer models.

2013+ models came factory with LED license plate lights. The up to 2012 part is just an OEM incandescent bulb housing.

Currently the only LED option we have for up to 2012 models is below.

wasn't there just a thread on this about someone picking up a pair at AutoZone for like $10 bucks and worked perfectly without errors.
