C5 cloth interior

How rare is a A6 C5 2.7t with cloth interior? Anyone have one? Any pics?

Very rare on this side of the pond. All the models imported to North America were the top spec options-wise so we didn't see things like the 2.4L engine, cloth interiors or manual window cranks in our C5's, as the closest thing to we got to cloth seats in the C5 are the alcantara inserts that were an option on the S6 and RS6. Cloth seats are quite common in Europe as many of the C5's sold there were base models with relatively little options.

I just saw an 2000 A6 2.7t here in Texas with these door panels and cloth seats.



I know mexican A6's had cloth option.

This car also has no sunroof. Never seen a C5 with no sunroof in the US.

Someone just posted up recently with an allroad without a sunroof. Also super duper rare.

I just got all the option codes from that car. Super stripped down, no sunroof, cloth seats, no xeons. Never seen a car like that with a 2.7t engine and 6 speed.

There's a couple out there like that.

A Volcano black 2000 2.7T 6spd, Grey cloth sport seats, no surnoof, don't think it had Xenon lights either. that the original owner custom ordered that way from the factory when new.

There's also a 2000 or 2001 Jaspis Green w/ a lago green (?) cloth interior (dash, shift boot, parking brake handle all matching in color) as well, but it was equipped w/ sunroof etc



It also seemed that there are a few early early 2.8's (98-99) out there that came with standard cloth seats from factory as well. Haven't seen the rare 5spd 2.8's equipped with cloth seats yet (that would be a bloody unicorn).

There are also some plaid looking cloth allroad seats that show up in allroads from time to time (typically green).

Car is for sale, cheap but trashed, interior is dirty but can be cleaned, but needs some paint clear is fading in a couple spots. I have another A6 that I can steal parts from. I am contemplating if it is worth buying and restoring it.

Sorry for reviving this slightly, but how do you all go about finding out how rare or not your vehicle is? My car has both cloth interior and no sunroof, plus is lacking in nearly every option.

You can usually call the manufacturer, they should have some production information available.

I know! AoA has so far been able to tell me there have been 180 MY 2003 allroads that are Atlas Gray with a 6-speed and platinum/black interior trim. Still waiting for them to see if they can tell me how many came with leather and/or sunroofs, which will let me narrow it down some (since they said they couldn't fulfill my request to know how many came without).
