Have what I think is a fairly noticeable smell of coolant in the car today. Wondering about the most possible explanations.....heater core leak? Thoughts?

? Aux rads. Really just need to start looking around for pink crust. Aside from the fact you think you smell coolant, are you down on coolant?

Looking for a canyon to carve.

Start at the coolant tank - front usually has a crack that forms in it that looks like a leak/spill, but when you wipe it down, you see the cracks under the crud.
Then top left of radiator or bottom right of radiator - look for wet spots or crusty junk
Passenger side behind the fog light / in the wheel well and see if it's strong there (I had cracks in the end cap of my aux rad where it sits against the mount on the bottom which resulted in leaks)

    hope that helps.
