how to to test pcv valve/hose?

I have a 2001.5 with the nerstyle spider hose/pcv hose.

My car had the vcgs and all associated gaskets/seals/plugs replaced arpund 10k miles ago to clear up my oil leaks. Now i have oil leaking down the front from what i belive is the crankshaft seal.

so im wondering how to check the pcv system to make sure thats notcausing my leak from excessive pressure.

I tried puling oil cap off and car didnt hesitate at all and realized there is no suction in there either. Put a piecs of paper too it and it did not suck it against the valve cover.

Remove spider hose, there is a check valve in the center fitting. Blow and suck through the ends with the valve to test the valve. It should flow one way and not the other.
