Exclamation *Unitronic Stage II vs United Motorsport Stage I/II - Quattro 180 - help me out! :)

Sup guys! I haven't been on this forum since 2008 :o

Searching your forums and Google as a whole, there have been plenty of comparisons...on other cars.

I'm currently in an '01 180 Quattro with a Revo Stage I, straight pipe + 3" DP ---> back, Forge inlet, Forge splitter.

Unitronic claims massive Stage II gains on the stock K03, no FMIC or injectors @20PSI (235/275).

My local tuner and a good deal of the web swears by UM. Stage I claims are much lower (~16 PSI) and requirements for Stage II are higher @18-21 PSI (K04+, injectors).

The tuner believes that the Stage I will pump out closer to 20PSI. Maybe even try a Stage II, if it will take any further. I don't see any # claims from UM, just confidence from the tuner and lack of info I can use relating to this whip on the web.

    Any insight?

This can be moved to the main forum if better suited for the masses.

Thanks so much dudes! Trying to pull the trigger on a new tune next week

edit: I don't plan on FMIC until I swap the turbo later in life, and injector benefits seem pretty questionable (as is the FMIC). So the above question relates to the current mods! Just trying to bang all I can out of the stock K03 / see where it can get me. I have *some* hopes, as I've read of people pumping high 20s PSI out of it, not sure how valid. Thanks again!

No replies! Awww - the cars are getting old I guess :(

    Since the thread, my update:

-UM has the *sickest* tune options. Atop the ECU, they offer launch control, liftless shifting, and ---wait4it--- power redistribution from 80f/20r to 60f/40r WOW! Will update here (or maybe elsewhere with more traffic) in a few weeks once it's done

    Hi there!

    Sorry; just saw your reply.

I am not on UM yet (still REVO [stage 1]), but will be so damn happy to report! Really looking forward to maxing-out the K03s & being pushed more than I am right now (rather than pulled w/that ~80% ;) ).

Have you found any other threads or owners with the UM drivetrain and/or launch control?

I have not unfortunately lol still on hold to buy the car seeing as it looks like tuners are really falling off the platform. Not sure what to do.
