Picked up a well maintained RS4. Couple mods done to it.

Yup still have the B5. Although I'm not sure how long I'll keep it now. A supercharged RS4 is such an intoxicating car to drive. I dare say better than my b5 in every way.

Amazing car. This one has the AMD HP blower, 3-adustable Ohlin's, 3" downpipes and catback. It makes good sounds.

I go to Leavenworth every year, and usually a few friends and I set up a meet beforehand so we can all cruise together. So check the PNW section around June for details.

nice. I got a buddy with a fully done up b7 rs4, very very nice car. He threw on a short shifter, which was a big mistake, as that was my only complaint about the car (alignment issues and the like). Definately feels a bit bigger though, especially in the canyons.

I might have to swing through there for the summer trip to leavenworth, I home base out of Woodinville when i'm up there and there's some good twisties on the way. Besides, the cops around here are wearing thin on the 'just got it out of the shop, that's why it has 2012 tags' excuse.

I totally agree with you the car feels much bigger than the b5. Although I must say these new Ohlin's are worlds better than the motorsports on my b5. I also think the b5 brakes more aggressively with the set up I have. I definitely need more seat time with this car. The 275's on all 4 corners definitely help. Way different driving experience from the s4, I could anticipate the boost, but this thing just accelerates so effortlessly. I can be at like 2000rpm and its already building 4-5psi. Crazy crazy car.

I'm up in Woodinville as well. Last year we took I90 to Blewitt for the cruise. Much better than the Hwy2 mess that always seems to happen on that drive.

I've ridden in an Ohlins equipped B5 s4 (widebody but still) and was blown away how well it rode, with 4 adults in it no less. But the b7 is certainly the superior chassis, no doubt. Suspension makes such an enormous impact on the feel of these cars. Before you get rid of the B5, PLEASE do some pulls between your B5 and this. I'm sure the b7 will be faster but I'd like to see what a perfectly dialed stage 3 can really do.

Congrats on the purchase, thing will make an awesome daily

Ohlins on the s4 was definitely one of the better mods I did, but I've had them for years now and they are starting to develop the infamous ohlins click. Still perform incredibly well, far better than anything sub $2000 suspension wise. The RS4's Ohlins are about 7 years newer, and it's the next generation of them as well. You can definitely feel the difference in high speed compression and rebound, they react fast but smooth. It's a very comforting feeling.

I'll try to get someone I trust to pilot the s4. I was thinking my friend Riley with the b6 2.7 swap. I have his car in a couple videos on my channel. The RS4 will probably be quicker is my prediction as well but it will be interesting nonetheless. You don't see too many race vids of blown rs4's on YouTube. I'm hoping to change that.

Push harder for one! My girlfriend loves it so far. She likes the s4 too but she agrees it's way nicer, plus this has like 8k worth of stereo equipment in it for her to play with. Not really my thing. I prefer the v8 symphony orchestrated by my right foot.

Well that certainly works in your favor. Giggity.

Congrats on the purchase. I rode in Molly's supercharged s5 and felt on par with my ots epl/amd ko4 a6. Curious how yours would compare.

Maybe my s6 will be drivable for Leavenworth this year and we can meet up.

Well if I see you at any local events I need a ride. I've contemplated moving up to a B7 RS4 or other options as well, but I've also thought about doing a full build on my casa avant. I'm at this odd point right now where I don't know what I want to do with the car and the thought of selling has been creeping in again. Really interested to see your B5 vs the RS4 in the future!

I've never had the chance of meeting Molly. I've heard her car is pretty cool, IIRC about 400whp??? If she's ever in the area I'd do some pulls with her car to see how it compares. I believe my RS made around 470whp/410wtq. Basically the same as the AMD shop car minus the lightweight wheels that did 11.3 at 126mph. Already discussing ways to make it faster.

Sounds good, I'll post a thread for a Leavenworth pre-meet the closer we get to June. Last year we had 20 something Audi's show up. It was a good group.

Sounds good to me. I try to go to a couple events a year. Leavenworth and Audi Expo are two of my favorites, hopefully they don't land on the same day this year. It was a ton of driving last year to make both. If your ever in the vicinity of AMD, I'm literally 5 minutes away from the shop.

I think it will be really interesting to see how they stack up. Totally different power bands. My S4 actually made more torque on paper than the RS4, but I somehow get the feeling that the RS4 will be quicker. Its a screamer up top.

Was going to say, a switch to E85 if it's currently running pump would be huge.

It was originally a local car, got sold in September for 48 or 45k, almost bought it back then. Some how ended up in Texas at a dealership, traded it in a new Tesla p85d. There were 20 people trying to get financing for the car. I didn't think it was going to last through the weekend so I made them a cash offer. A couple weeks later it's here! This one put down 470whp on a mustang dyno, pump 92 oct. they do well over 500whp on some better fuel. E85 would be very interesting to see. I'm sure it could break some records on E.

Damn pete great find. I couldn't pick
a better car to compliment the b5.
    There's someone selling a b7 rs4
rolling chassis 10 miles from me. I wish
I had the funds to build her back up.

Have you heard any feedback as far
as Jason's supercharger kit vs. the new
APR kit? I'd be interested to see how they
stack up against each other. The APR kit
has gone 10.6 and maybe lower by now.

Thanks bud, I always thought the b7rs4 was an awesome chassis. I enjoyed driving them before in stock form but this car is truly in a league of its own.

Well it's true that APR ran a 10.6 while the AMD has only managed 11.3, however the APR car was stripped down, no exhaust, on I think 104oct, and had drag radials. On pump gas the AMD cars still trapped higher @ 126mph than the APR cars. I'm willing to bet my RS would do 10's easy with a sticky tire and race gas. I still think the AMD kit is far better engineered, he went above and beyond with the design and functionality. I think JHM might have even bested APR's time at the track too. So maybe its time for an AMD car to take back the number 1 spot.

So maybe its time for an AMD car to take back the number 1 spot.
Please post up if you plan on going to the track after a few AMD tweaks

APR and AMD car came through 034 a while back and both put down great numbers. The APR car was a bit stronger but the kit also costs more than double Jason's... so that says a lot. That car might have been an early AMD production blower so Peter's car might be much stronger. Pull your rear seats, sticky tires, and high octane and I'll bet anything you're in the 10s.

The secret was them running a bias ply slick not DR's Keeps the shock down as DR's on a stick car are harsh on things at launch. They were in the 1.5XX 60 ft range on the mid 10 second runs.

Yea I remember that thread from awhile back, wasn't the APR car also using race gas on the dyno as well? Pretty sure he was but I'd have to go and look.

The only bad thing about this car from a drag racing standpoint is mine as all this extra audio equipment in the trunk. And the trunk is lined with dynamat to add further weight I'll post a picture in a few of it.

Good info. The last thing you want to happen is blow up a diff or pop an axle at the strip.

I wouldn't worry about any of the records crap and just enjoy it IMHO. I'm too old to even think I want to chase records and break parts/fix things all the time LOL
