So I was driving the other night and left my car for a c opulent hours and the battery was drained. Got it jumped and on the Amy home I was having serious misfire issues, but not enough to throw the engine light. I scanned and got three codes
P1296- coolant sensor
P1238- open circuit to injector 2
P0302- misfire on cyl 2
The coolant sensor was just replaced recently and the temp sensor on the dash is working, read somewhere that this could be a problem with the fan control module, and may possibly be what is draining the battery if the fan or water pump isn't shutting off properly. Any ideas?
The open circuit is bugging me. I took it out for a short drive and it was doing fine. Took it out for an errand and the misfire came back, erratically this time though. Has anyone had their injector fail on them? I'm running Bosch ev14s with the 034 tune. I know that my next step will be to pull that injector and move it to a different cylinder but before I do that I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and it turn out to be an issue in the harness and not the injector itself before I order a new one?
