    2001 Allroad engine swap..

    I have a 2001 Allroad 2.7t with a 6 speed. Motor was warn out so I bought a motor from my mechanic out of a 2003 Allroad with a automatic. The wiring is not the same, what is the best way to deal with this? I have both motors side by side and both engine harnesses.

    I would use the wiring harness off your 2001 engine. You may have to swap some sensors from the 2001 to the 2003 engine, and any other parts that have different connectors. Use the coilpacks of your original engine.

    Do both engines have EGT's?
