    Can an RS7 be flashed to a RS7 Performance program?

    Seeing that the platforms are the same, is all that's different between the two engine maps a tune to go from 560 to 605hp?

    If this flash is possible, will it result in a TD1?

    All hypothetical questions...

    Did you mean RS6 to RS7? I think the turbos are different?

    Any software flash MIGHT result in a TD1. That has to do with if the dealer plugs in and recognizes that there is a flash on the car. If you are running any software, expect that they will find it and flag your car. There are of course exceptions to this (tuning friendly dealers).

    Theoretically it should be possible since many tuners can push stage 1 power well beyond 605HP but who is going to do that? Not the dealerships for sure and if you happen to find an indy shop to do the flash for you, I'm more than certain that your car will be flagged because in Audi's Database they definitely have the software revision tied to the VIN and not to mention the flash counter that would be changed as well.

    rs6 and rs7 have the same turbos, OP is asking if the tune from the upcoming rs7/6 plus can be flashed to a regular rs7 to reap the gains from that model. it is highly doubtful that any audi dealer will do that flash(if it truly is only a flash being the difference)

    The dealership won't do it because it would cannibalize their "performance" brand and give you no reason to purchase that car.
    You have a lot of options for third party tunes... I'll probably be going APR since I had it on my S6 and everything worked out for me in the end.

    No way...They would never sell an RS7 Performance then.
    Audi wants you to trade in RS7 and then buy an RS7 Performance...that's where they make their loot, not by offering upgraded software. Would be nice if it was otherwise. #wishfulthinking
    If you are suggesting somehow downloading RS7 Performance software from the car and then applying to a regular RS7. Someone like APR or GIAC would have to do that and it would cut into their normal business of software tunes already and makes less power than the tunes they already offer, so makes no sense for them to do this.

    Doesn't the APR RS7 tune equal or exceed the RS7 Performance numbers? My guess is no dealer support, though there were some rumblings over the last couple of years that Audi was considering offering factory go-fast parts, including tunes and exhausts, but they have yet to be seen. Any reputable aftermarket tune would likely get you close to those numbers, but would most certainly get the TD1 hammer.

    i am more interesting to see the if tuned (APR, GIAC...etc) RS7 vs RS7 performance will provide similar output or not.

    thats not entirely true, they have already started offering factory resonator deletes

    I would be more interested to see if they remapped the zf, than the ecu, any tuner will make more power with 100 oct. The trans mapping is what I want to see.
