I haven't done much exploring, but Chumstick highway on the way to Leavenworth is quite a bit of fun. Not to mention the drive on highway 2 is beautiful.

Dunno if this is exactly what you're looking for, but I know quite a few less-lengthy but still fun and scenic drives on the east-side:

    - SE Issaquah-Fall City Rd is nice and hill-y. It's short and nothing mind-blowing, but yeah.
    - Hobart to Ravensdale to Black Diamond to a ghost town called Franklin (you don't actually pass through it but i believe there's a little hike to it)
    - If you're down with unpaved roads, take i90 east to stampede pass and drive that to another ghost town called Lester. The road will end about 2 miles before the ghost town, but the road is full of switch backs and beautiful scenery. Not sure if the road is drivable right now, though. While snow isn't usually an issue, going up hill on an extremely narrow road that, on one side is a cliff, isn't exactly the safest.
    - High Bridge Rd near Duvall is pretty fun.
    - Ben Howard Rd in Monroe is okay.
    - 165 through Carbonado is apparently pretty nice, though I heard the last few miles of the road are unpaved and full of pot holes.
    - I've also heard Sultan Basin Rd is pretty bad ass, but I'm not sure what the conditions are like right now. Looks like it leads to Spada Lake.

I just recently had a kid and it seems one of the only things that gets him to fall asleep are car rides, so I've had a lot of time to look at Google Maps and explore a few places :P

I explored a bunch out there just about 2 years ago now. I took my cam with me - here's the album, I've made it public: https://www.facebook.com/AvantQuattr...2934624&type=3

Whenever I'm bored I go out to this road called "High Bridge road" Its located between Snohomish and Duvall. It's twisty following the river, lots of elevation change, couple small straights. Be careful as theres a couple off-camber corners that will bite you in the ass if you approach them wrong.

Sadly I've heard that its been infested with ricers lately.

ULTRA residential road with a cop or 2 hiding in key areas on nice days... your funeral.

YES! This road is awesome, but better take it slow your first go-around. As Peter stated, a couple of the corners can get you..

Now, for my hands-down favorite scenic/awesome road in Washington State.... The North Cascades (Highway 20), between Diablo Lake and near Winthrop... enough said! (Closed during winter).

+1. Probably my favorite road that I've tried so far. Lots of fun twists, when I went early (8AM or so) it was empty.

How long ago did you go? I've been wanting to do it for a while now but I thought I read somewhere that the road was closed. I think the article dated sometime early in 2015, though.

Interesting, yeah it was probably some time in 2014. I found the article, but the latest data looks like it's open? http://www.snoco.org/App4/SPW/pwapp/...ure/index.html

I live not far from E Mercer Way. It's a pretty and fun drive, even at the speed limit. Try to see if you can make it all the way down the route without using your brake pedal. When you get far enough south, you can see Mt. Rainier on a clear day.

Your passengers, on the other hand, may not enjoy the ride that much.

The bigger challenge than police is sharing the road safely with cyclists and the occasional pedestrian. And the ravines that line the road and are sometimes "visited" by careless drivers.

I've lived on Novelty Hill Road for years and a few weekends ago took that road on the way up to Snohomish (by chance) and it was a really good drive. Absolutely beautiful drive.
