    2016 SQ5 reverse light question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I have noticed the reverse lights are really dim and barely put off any light or illuminate the patch behind the vehicle. On my 2014 Sierra I had the same issue and upgraded the stock bulbs to LED that had 3x the illumination output, is that possible on the Audi SQ5 as well without any issues with the computer system?

I want to upgrade the stock fog/driving lamps to LED or ones that at least match the color rating of the headlights but kept reading you can trip a code if you change out to LED.

Not sure what size bulbs your fogs are but these are nice. I have them and they look great. The M autolight ones.

You can find quality, error-free 921 LED bulbs on Amazon.

As for the fog lights, I have Philips LEDs on my A4. They also look great, are error free, and the color (6000k) matches the DRLs.

Any link to the fog bulbs you used?

Use HID for fogs. They blow away LEDs in terms of light output and the 5500 - 5000K color range is a match for stock. LEDs are ok for look, but if you want functionality, HID.

I bought the Phillips LED fogs, they do match the headlights and LED driving lights. As said the output is about on par with the stock incandescent bulb, maybe even slightly less to be honest.

I just bought these from Amazon but I didn't notice until they already shipped that it says they don't fit the 2016 Q5. Did anything change between 15 to 16 as far as reverse lights?

I don't think so, but that Amazon fitment thing is mostly wrong. . .mostly.
