Engine piece needs replacement

Hey guys! I was trying to solve the headlight range control defective problem and I noticed a piece looked really old!


Does anyone know what this is? It also looks like it needs replacement haha

If your looking at the mesh filter, it's called a snow screen I think. It's a pre-filter for your air box and should be cleaned occasionally. Just take it out and wash it.

If you are referring to the mesh filter, its a snow screen. If prevents snow coming thru the grill being sucked into the paper element air filter. Just wash it with soapy water. The intake manifold is open like that. Its only covered by the upper airdam that is held in by 4 screws.
