Hmm. I mean, that makes sense. Seats will be coming out in the spring to replace the bottom foam, so I guess I can look around for broken stuff then. It was strange, I went to get out of the car and saw it sitting there.

pretty sure the same thing popped out and fell under the seat when my lumbar broke.
It seems I put too much pressure on it when reaching for something in the backseat; it deflated and made a pop noise.
Didn't you fix this with metal from Home Depot?

Both repairs are essentially the same approach. Instead of a piece of angle iron I just used a 3/4" block of pine. Dropped it in place and secured it with a wood screw. Done.

My plastic hooks were broken on the seat cover. I had to make some of my own.

Mine were also broken. I just held the broken clips in the proper position and backfilled the void under the clip with some Pig Putty to hold it in place. Been fine ever since.

Hmm. Maybe I'll make this a Saturday repair next week. I'll see how the weather goes. It's been a while since I've had to work on my car (fuel pump is needed pretty soon) but maybe I'll put this in front

That is part of the bracket that holds on the trim with all of the seat controls. They will break if you put to much pressure on them (like sitting on it) Part number 8E0881559A
