    Help w/O2 sensor wiring

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am constantly getting a no activity from sensors 1 at bank 1 & 2. Replaced sensors and no luck. I am thinking the problem goes deeper into the harness or possibly at a relay or fuse??

    Any help is much appreciated!

That doent sound good. Have the wires ever burned on the exhaust? Can hurt the ecu.

Heaters are powered off the fuel pump relay so you would have a few more codes if it were a prob there or with the fuse.
Not sure about the signal stuff, would think the ground is shared also, but check those on the back of the head and behind the coolant res to be sure.
There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.

A prob with the fuse or relay would give you an o2 heater code, along with a bunch others.

What part# o2's did you use? Black connectors on the firewall, not brown and green?

I just deleted the codes before I got on here so I can't be 100% but it did have the heater codes as well. Had like 6 codes.
I checked continuity and power to all the fuses in door panel.
All have continuity.but a couple have no power with the key on. One being the lighter but the major one is fuse #34 ecu has no power when key on

28, 29, and 34 are powered up by the fuel pump relay and wont have 12v unless running.

    Well. Update.
Found some pretty thrashed wires in the harness.

I have a spare from an apb that I have been using for reference.
Ran out of time to finish splicing wires back together last night.
We will see how things go.

Are you using genuine bosh o2's??? I kniw there is cheaper. But tuners don't like them. And made me buy the $160 bosh one. From what I read audi's like them better.

Yeah bosch o2 sensors. I really think it was the broken wires mostly. I will update when I can take it for a drive.
