A4 problem need clues to what is going on

My b7 just turned off on me as soon as i launched right away after turning it on and i steered the steering wheel all the way to the left and i shifted it to reverse and boom! CAR WAS SHUT OFF
After i parked it on nuetral i let it sit and it restarted but havent moved it
All the sudden turns back on? Huh??
Any clues to what may be happening??

I've head of this happening when the car doesn't have enough oil. Shuts down due to safety feature. Check your dipstick.
