Brake Pedal Rock Hard, no stopping power

    Hi guys,

So this doesn't seem to be a terribly uncommon issue but it always seems to resolve in a couple ways and I cannot seem to fix my issue.

So the brake pedal seems fine for the first 3ish pumps on any given stop, then goes rock solid and even standing on the brake produces very little stopping power. From what I read everything pointed to the first few pumps being a benefit of the electric brake assist pump and the issue lying with the booster.

Replaced the booster (and reservoir when I found a leak), bled the brakes all around but the problem persists. I also replaced the line from the booster to the firewall. I pulled the line off the other side of the firewall from that and there seems to be vacuum. I couldn't say how much vacuum but it sucks the tip of my finger onto it pretty well. Any possibility that it's the electric pump causing the issue?

So for now I am at a loss on how to resolve this as it seems that it might be a vacuum leak somewhere and I am always hesitant to take it to a shop if I can do the work myself. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Did your reservoir even become empty at any point?

Reservoir became empty every time I removed it from the master cylinder. Once to install the booster and again when I found the leak and installed a brand new (empty by design) reservoir.
