Switch from b6 to b5?

Need an engine pull on my b6 s4. For all parts and labor is going to cost almost 7k with valve stem seals.

Found this on CL. Two owner 100k s4. He will take 8k. Is that worth it?

Get one from Canada cheaper. This is a stage 3 car. With only 60k miles and never winter driven

I have both. A 04 B6 S4 Sedan Auto & a recent purchase of 01 B5 RS4 Avant. Love the S4 handling & V8 grunt. Have had minimum drive time on the RS4. On things for sure. The older they get the more expensive the parts.

I saw some dude around my house with a black b6 s4 that had a stk 2.7 swap.

Wonder if the dual clutch transmission and v8 engine from a s5 would fit... without too many mods ofcourse.

Yes sir, it was a while back. I was on my way to LIC in Maspeth, saw the car on the service road and we both hopped on the highway. I was in my 2.8 b5. That b6 was fast. Think he said 5858 turbo, not sure, tuned by vast?

Ah, that was you. Wicked! I picked up a 2.7 6speed c5, doing stk in near future sometime. Maybe the c5 will be able to keep up haha

OP -- i'd consider selling mine for around that price. quick run down 01.5 silver/black 6 speed, cold weather package, nav, 112K miles. i'm technically the 4th owner but my friend owned it since about 20K miles before selling it to me last summer. his dad originally purchased it and then he put it into his name later down the road (hence the 4 owners).
