So I broke my immobilizer chip inside of my wife's allroad key fob. I found and bought another key fob from Ebay. Going to swap out the cut key with mine and reuse everything else. Wondering if anyone out there has one of these cable that I can use to reprogram the immo chip?

    Here's the walkthrough:

No need for Vag Tacho, and honestly I found it didn't work well on anything newer than a Mk4 VW anyway. I've got Vag Commander stashed here, see if you can download it:

    Or here? : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8X...ew?usp=sharing

If you follow the walkthrough and can get Vag Commander to work and have VCDS (licensed) you're set!

I got my ross-tech cable last week so got one of the steps taken care of.

Walkthrough seems easy but how do I install the vag commander? I pulled down the entire zip but instruction is in another language.

Well...meh? I just click the .exe and see if my virus scanner/ firewall blocks it. It's Vagtester.exe ..? or something...I haven't had to pull and SKC for a couple years/ x10k beers, #kindafuzzy ?
    But it should work.
