Anyone interested in a pair of black Brembo 18z calipers?

I'm asking $600 plus shipping. You all know these sell for MUCH more than I'm asking. Hell, finding a pair of 17z calipers at this rate is a deal.

Have a buddy with a b6 avant that's 2.7T swapped that I believe is searching for these. I passed the link along to him. Those old A4 brakes aren't cutting it on a Stage 3 Franken car!!!

No doubt. The B6 has even smaller brakes than a B7...

These are the same as any 18z. They're six piston, and suit 350mm rotors (ML55AMG fit with very little modification).

    I'm asking $600 + shipping.

The little modification, are you referring to the removing 1mm of material from the center bore on the ml55 amg rotors ?

What else is needed to fit these onto the B7 platform ? I read that you have to grind down the knuckles a bit ? Or is that not necessary for B7 ?

Exactly. You'll need to open the center bore. Other than that, everything else is pretty straight forward. No grinding. You'll need shoulder bolts (JHM sells them), and to flip the brake lines.

You can say the same for pretty much any product. Most people would rather save the hassle.

Considering these calipers cost north of $1,000 new, and a used caliper functions exactly the same, it's quite a good value.

    Well said, thanks.

I'm not entirely sure why people chime in to contribute less than nothing.

Venom, why aren't you selling them for less?

As an aside, I'm contemplating putting 17z and 18z kits together. Essentially they'll be bolt on (calipers, milled ML55AMG rotors, pads, lines, rotor rings, and shoulder bolts. I'll start by making a kit for myself to figure out costs, but would likely be willing to do them for others, if it's worthwhile and there is interest.

Because i'm not in the business of selling calipers. But they certainly don't cost $600, that i can assure you. No need to buy brand new calipers like LINDW4LL said, but still, used ones that are remaned aren't even close to $600 for the pair.

My 17Z kit cost me less than $800 total withe remaned calipers that weren't all covered in shit, and thats with Stoptech slotted rotors and yellow stuff pads.

Fair, I guess. You got smaller brakes for the same cost.

I can't understand how you can justify mine not being worth what I'm asking.

    Let's do the math:

-18z calipers with 20,000KM on them (don't need a rebuild, just a light cleaning) loaded with pads - $600

    - partsgeek.com ML55AMG slotted rotors, made by Stop Tech - $92.23 per

    That's under. $800.

Sure, shoulder bolts are needed, as are lines, and 5 minutes of machining the centre bore. Let's round that up to about $150. The full kit, bolted on is still only $950. Not really all that bad for a phenomenal set of brakes...

    So that's it, I'm done.

If anyone is interested, I can get more and am thinking about doing kits now, as well.

    Cheers!

$580 shipped - all redone 18z painted and cleared with the choice of 4 colors with pads. The bolt kit is an extra $30. So for $610 you get pretty much a brand new set with the bleeders flipped, pads and bolts or $600 for a pair out of the junk yard?? People come on do some research before you buy. And before anyone says this isn't legit or these will fail and all the negative stuff. I know 2 people with S4s that bought from them and they look perfect, work perfect so just a heads up. I can give anyone Robs info to talk to him direct and get an even better deal. Mine are black with Lambo decals if anyone was wondering.

I have another pair and OEM RS4 brake lines. Contemplating putting a kit together and either keeping it, or selling the parts I have.
