Am I ready for JHM stage 2?

Just ordered a 2.5" DP, accompanied with the rest of the mods in sig, am I ready for the stage two JHM on 91 oct. or do I really need to bite the bullet and finish the exhaust after the DP? Thanks all

There is no reason not to do the exhaust. It'll be the bottle neck point and you'll end up doing it anyway. Just do it all at once and be done with it.

The price point of the rest of the OBX is fantastic, but the tips make me want to throw up, to big and stick out to far

The OBX system is rather restrictive. The downpipe may be fine but I would look into something different for the cat back.

like you already eliminated the biggest restriction by a TP. And by you the 2.5 DP. You pretty much took care of 90% of the exhaust restriction. The very exhaust from the Cat back will only yield you 8% free flow at best imo. So I wouldnt go dumping any crazy amount of $$$$ into an exhaust system. I my KO4 with stock exhaust from DP back for a month before I got my AWE ed. Felt no difference except more drone

I would love nothing more then to do the 93,but it's Maine (limited 93 stations) and when I go weekend to Eastport (wicked downeast bub) the best I can find is 91, and I have the stock hpfp, so I'd probably do the 91

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your system and did it break the bank or was it a fairly good deal? Everything hats not OBX is upwards of 800$

I got my AWE exhaust from another member for $500.00 + my almost rusted out stock exhaust. he was parting out going back to stock. He told me the exhaust was only 6 months old at the time. And it looked like it was

Anything would sound better than stock especially when I hit JHM launch control i just don't want anything that has massive tips due to I'm not 16 anymore and I'm trying to keep sleeper status

Your best bet is our DP-Y and an OEM B6 or B7 S4 cat back.

Look up pictures of Evo-ski's avant on here. It's a b6 but the exhaust fitment is the same. I personally think the tips are perfect.

I'm JHM 2+ with JHM TP, Y-P, and B7 S4 exhaust. I wouldve like to get fast intentions but its like 1400 it. The s4 exhaust is really heavy and strains the rubber hangers that the car has so I just did the "tankdeer mod" aka zip ties and its working so far for a week

The price point is amazing,I am running a thread near here on the OBX d/p,I just figured I could land that system you talk about in Oz for $A900 with some help from my friends in CT.
I can't send it back from here though if there were problems,Id be stuck with it.
4 inch tip is fine on a B7,tame it down and paint it in matte black engine enamel to go with the rest of the chrome, good-riddance !
And to pull it in towards the car,easy matter.

If I could find an OEM B6 S4 exhaust in town I'd be all over the JHM DP-Y.

how is catless to straight pipe(stock downpipe and res delete) to 2 magnaflow 18651s work for the jhm stage 2 ? 93otc

The exhaust from the downpipes back shouldn't be any different whether it's tip or manual. The downpipe is where the difference is.

Also our fsi engines are a bit sooty so the tips get black anyway. Might as well cut out the middleman and paint them black...

I am getting a TP - 2.5" DP - 2.5" magna flow cat back with JHM tune. Also getting the HPFP upgrade from JHM while I wait for stage 2 :D Rear diff mount as well.

Ive been embarrassingly spray painting the inside of my dual bolt on tips to pass for carbon build-up
