    Cant get bumper off!!

I've been having a hard time getting the bumper off of my b8.5 s4. I double checked that I removed every screw/bolt but the side of the bumper still feels stuck. how much force is needed to get it off?

You must be forgetting one screw or you dont see it. I think you could be forgetting the one right under the headlight.

There is 3 screws in the bumper closer to the headlights than all the others.

2 of them on each side are vertical and are easy to see but there is 1 on each side above and in front of the 2 vertical screws.

Did you remove 1 screw that points forward toward the front of the car? And did you loosen the 2 vertical bolt nuts?
If you did then it should pop out by pulling on the edge of the bumper.

I removed the 2 screws next to the headlights. The 2 vertical bolts + the one pointing to the front. And all the screws underneath.

Did you try pulling it like this?

Are you sure you removed all the ones underneath? There is 6 total.

Did you disconnect the fog lights?

It should be easy to pull out after everything is removed.

if you've removed all the obvious screws and bolts - 1 fender bolt on each side, 2 fender liner torx screws on each side, 3 torx screws on the bottom of bumper, 2 torx screws under the hood next to each headlight - then it might leave you to 1 or 2 of the 1/4 turn screws holding the bumper to the bellypan nearest the front wheels.

Check that you took out the correct set of screws underneath the front. At first I removed the ones that hold the belly pan in.

OP - I was in the exact same situation. It was very hard to break the bumper free on the sides even though the two bolts were loose. After doing it once, it frees much easier by tugging downwards before pulling out as nightkiller6 mentions above. If you are still having trouble - my advice would be to completely remove the nuts you loosened on those two screws (the ones next to the headlight that nightkiller is referring to). That would give you 100% confidence that you can pull down forcefully on the bumper without worry of tearing/breaking. Once the bumper is off you'll have free access to thread the nuts back on the bolts before you reinstall the bumper. Hope this helps.

There is a tab the runs vertically near the edge of the bumper that holds the bumper in place even after removing all screws. If you pull that tab while pulling on the bumper it should make it easier. But it does take some force to pop it out.

+1. The very first time removing the bumper it seems to take a bit more muscle as its "locked" in place. After that it will come right off easily. Make sure the top tabs near the radiator are released...you want to pull out and down from each side of the bumper (near the wheel).
