    I think I saw his Nick name on vwquebec forum. Most probably english is his second language. I don't believe it's a scam because prices can be very competitive because of the depreciation of Canadian dollar. Who else would accept a payment that is not cash when selling a car in person?

    Yea this is a good point. The falling Canadian dollar makes this seem like a more reasonable amount, when converted to CAD. $17,000 USD = ~$25,500 CAD
