    Oily parting line

I was replacing spark plugs on my 2013 A4 quattro (thanks to DIY posted here) and noticed this what looks like oily-dirty line at the parting line on the engine (forgive me for not describing this well since I am just learning to get my hands dirty). Noticed this at 34k and now it is at 42k and cannot say it has got any bad, but just looking for reason for this. The biggest repair done so far was replacement of fuel injector by dealership at 25k.

Looking forward to hear out from this forum which has been so helpful.

From what I have seen this is pretty standard in our engines.
